Congratulations Viking & Valkyries Choir!

The Viking and Valkyries choir got the honor to perform at NSU Tuesday, March 26, 2019.  The Viking Choir also received the privilege of singing with the NSU Choir. We would like to thank Ms. Janice Yantis for all of her hard work and for teaching our choir students to be the best! Also, thank you to our choir students for working hard.  Below are messages sent to our director.

Dear Janice-

Last night's performance by your students has been playing in my head and ears all day--what a great way to spend one's day! I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was with their performance: beautiful tone, polished musicality, wonderfully engaged in their singing, and stellar intonation. As I sat in the audience and listened, I am reminded why we do what we do on a daily basis, and have renewed hope for our future as I see these incredible young musicians and human beings doing such great things.

CAPA is SO PROUD of you, and we are incredibly thankful for your guidance of young musicians. More than that, it is obvious that they love and respect you as their teacher, mentor, and confidant.

I was so impressed with the students from all aspects--arrival, presence, performance, maturity, appreciation, and passion for music. From beginning to end, top to bottom, I was more than impressed with them. That is a testament to your consistent expectations and teaching.

We would love to have each one of them singing on stage in Magale again as CAPA students.

Congratulations to you and your students. Please pass along to them how impressive they are as musicians and young adults.

Oh, and Jenson was 'pretty good,' too.

I look forward to hearing them again soon.

Dear Janice,

I wanted to thank you for bringing an amazing musical experience to the audience last night!! Avoyelles Choir was just superb…everyone I talked with was thrilled and stunned with how gorgeous and talented the singing was last night.  A true testament to your teaching:)

Please tell your choir that it was wonderful and we would take every one of them in a heartbeat at NSU.   The Give Me Jesus was my favorite piece, but they were all nice.  I hope we can have you all again soon or come over to your place :)

Have a great week and we will see you soon.

Kindest Regards,
