In The Classroom: January
In Math, students are continuing to master addition and subtraction facts, count money, tell time, and write addition and subtraction number sentences. Practice makes perfect!
In Reading, students are Reading stories. Some groups have started Rate and Accuracy Testing. These are timed test that measure accuracy and fluency. Our Literature units continue to focus on characters, setting, and sequence of events. Students are spelling words by sound (the words directly correlate with our Reading program).
In History, the students will be learning about the continent of Africa (animals, habitats, and customs).
In Science, students will be studying animal body coverings, adaptations, and classification.
