Freshmen Mystery Trip

Ms. Cora's Physical Science Class

In Ms. Cora’s Physical Science class, freshmen students are learning Boyle’s law and the relationship pressure and volume share. Students made actual working models of lungs and analyzed anatomical structures of the lung. They also learned how increased volume decreased pressure. When students pull the diaphragm downward, volume in the lungs increased and pressure decreased as air enters through the trachea. This represents what our lungs do when we inhale. When the diaphragm contracts, volume  in the lungs decreased and pressure increased forcing air out of our lungs. This represents our lungs when we exhale. Great job, freshmen!
