The final assignment of the year is with American Folksongs. Each student will be given an American folk song they will research and learn about. They will have computers in class Monday- Wednesday to work on this part of the assignment. The second part of the assignment is for them to write their own song on an event (or person) that they feel should be memorialized in history. They will give their presentations in class on Thursday and Friday. This assignment is worth 75 points. I have attached the rubric and an example of how the assignment should be competed.
