Choir
I am so very proud of the choir this year. Their sightreading ability has improved so very much!! I think this has alot to do with the serious approach that the students are taking to their music. I really hope this continues!
We are starting Christmas music and as always I feel that it will be upon us before we know it. So hard work and much practice should get us there.
The musical this fall is White Christmas. It is going to be a great show. I am having a blast working with the music theater students preparing for our opening. Make plans to attend either the first or second friday and saturday in December. I know you will love it!
Results
I was so very proud of all of the students who participated in the auditions for both the LMEA and the ACDA All State and Honor Choirs. Everyone sang well and worked so very hard learning their music. Never underestimate what you can do when you put your mind to it! For those of us who were not selected I still say "Job Well Done!" It is so easy to win, and so much harder to walk away from this type of event and not be bitter. Remember, always, this is one person's opinion of your talent. Never let that dictate what and who you are. Who knows you better than yourself; and face it, we all can have a bad performance now and then!
